About the Collection
This collection is comprised of photographs taken during travels in Japan, mainly in the cities of Kyoto, Tokyo, Osaka, as well as in Okinawa and Miyako-jima. The current collection covers two of my visits to Japan: a trip in Summer 2023 that started with a 2 week study abroad course, followed by a 2 week itinerary with friends and then a 2 week itinerary with family and a 3 week trip in Summer 2025 with family.

This digital collection is built with CollectionBuilder, an open source framework for creating digital collection and exhibit websites that is developed by faculty librarians at the University of Idaho Library following the Lib-Static methodology.
Using the CollectionBuilder-CSV template and the static website generator Jekyll, this project creates an engaging interface to explore driven by metadata.
